XX2i OPTICS FAST BECOMING AN ATHLETE FAVORITE
A recent 14,000 person survey conducted by USA Triathlon found that XX2i Optics was rated as the #3 sunglass brand that people intend to buy in the next twelve months. The polarized performance eyewear brand ranks higher in quality than brands that are considered industry staples, with over 70% of the 14,786 respondents rating XX2i Optics as a 4 or above (Very Good, Excellent) on a scale of 1 to 5. XX2i Optics also beat out all brands except Oakley and Rudy Project among consumers intending to buy in the next 12 months, showing an upward trend for a brand that appeared on the scene in 2012 to win Outside Magazine's Outstanding Value Award. RUNNING FOR A CAUSE: FORREST STUMP
It's estimated that almost 2 million people in the United States have an amputated limb, a condition that usually results in the need of a prosthetic limb. In the case of athletes, we typically see elite runners rocking speed blades, and hear about mechanical prosthetic breakthroughs. What a lot of people don't realize is that those specialty prosthetics are rarely covered by insurance, and their cost can range up to $20,000, out of pocket. For athletes who don't have those resources, training can be difficult, especially if they're limited to one leg that functions well for walking, but barely makes the cut for running, and can't even go in the water. Athlete Nicole Ver Kuilen is on a mission to change that - she's swimming, biking, and running down the entire West Coast to protest the 'One Limb for Life' model.
